LFW
So I’m gone until Tuesday or Wednesday. But, on Tuesday I’ve been invited by a friend to LFW to see David Koma’s show. Amazingly, my school have allowed me to miss lessons in order to go, as long as I chronicle it for some school publication. I think, as it’s an all boys school with a fair bit of prejudice, I may have to write an article proclaiming fashion as art in order...

Polo Contrast Collar French Cuff Shirt (Blue/White Stripe, White Knot Cufflinks)
Boggi Shawl Collar Cardigan
Rugby Red Corduroys
Burlington Socks
Bally Suede Penny Loafers
I’ve never really considered the contrast collar shirt as anything other than formal, but I thought I might try pairing it with a cardigan and sans cravate today, with the cords and loafers making it even more...

Future
Spoke to my head of english today about the future in terms of university, english as my favourite subject and my studies at present. It was the usual sort of thing, what are you reading, what are you considering for your A-levels sort of chat. Then I mentioned that I’d heard that she had once worked in the fashion journalism industry. Immediately the conversation graduated to how I blog, my...

Back to School
Tomorrow night. 7:30. It all starts again. Read my report, it recommended revision. So naturally I’m watching “Wilde”, in preparation for an intellectual few weeks. Posting will be limited and as such I intend to put as much effort as possible into each post. Very few people seem to like/reblog my lengthier posts but they do help me. Anyways, au revoir.
New Years Resolutions
Quit Smoking. Problem: I don’t want to even though I know I have done so before succesfully. But gotta sacrifice this if I want to be able to run.
Get some work experience in either Art or Fashion. Anyone offering?
Paint something on canvas and hang it. I’ve always wanted to do some painting. Just watching Basquiat or hearing people say to art-student friends, “Wow,...
On the Need for Pretensions
I read an article a little while ago where a previously ant-hipster writer went to the sort of Brooklyn cafe where the barrista sports a twirled moustache, tweed and some non prescription glasses. Now, the writer is pondering the pretentious nature of the establishment, but when he receives his “organic fair-trade hand-ground rare-bean” coffee, he loves it. And he points out that...
What It Takes by Jim Wendler →
Consistency – Without a doubt, the strongest and best lifters in the world have consistently busted their ass in the weight room. For decades. Not weeks, not a year, but decades. There are genetic freaks out there that achieve a high level of strength quickly, but comparing yourself to them is unfair and will probably drive you out of the sport and into a 10-year Pop Tarts & Vicodin bender....
