Future

Spoke to my head of english today about the future in terms of university, english as my favourite subject and my studies at present. It was the usual sort of thing, what are you reading, what are you considering for your A-levels sort of chat. Then I mentioned that I’d heard that she had once worked in the fashion journalism industry. Immediately the conversation graduated to how I blog, my interests, her contacts and what she knew about fashion from a journalists point of view. She gave me advice and said she’d get back to me on several matters relating to it. As she mentioned blogging as a great way of practising for the future in terms of journalism as a career, I’m going to start using this as a platform for my work, in order to showcase my “portfolio” I suppose! I know I haven’t been posting much recently but I promise to try harder and deliver better. Stay with me.
